Lutron takes its blinds to the catwalk
|
Lutron has taken the opportunity to promote its new blind fabric range by holding a London fashion show at the Imagination Gallery in London, where models wore clothing created from the fabrics.
The catwalk show was topped off by a talk from Kevin McCloud who introduced the range's two designer collections: The Gallery and Classico. Both boast wide selections of sustainable, PVC free and fire safe (EU M1 fire rating) fabrics and offer designers and installers alike a wide palette of textures and finishes to choose from.
Amongst the ranges featured within The Gallery collection are sheer and dim-out fabrics in a selection of versatile designs. One of the ranges, Dim-out, provides designers with a selection of fabrics that are more opaque than sheer fabrics and are created to provide a slightly translucent glow, reducing the view of shapes and shadows, guaranteeing privacy. Another range within the collection, Burnout, includes textured, sheer designs that create interesting light and shade patterns that complement any scheme.
The Classico collection has been created with a more corporate design scheme in mind and includes blackout, dim-out and sheer ranges with varying degrees of solar absorption, reflection and transmission. In addition, there are also GREENGUARD and Oeko-Tex certified ranges within the Classico collection, enabling those with an environmentally-conscious design remit to fulfil their brief in style. Lutron also offers the facility of incorporating company logo's onto specific shades fabrics as required. Customers also have the option of supplying their own fabric to Lutron to create bespoke blinds for commercial and residential interiors.
Allan Delors-McDonald from Lutron's European Marketing team commented, "The launch of such a comprehensive range of blind fabrics for both commercial and residential installations highlights our commitment to catering for the varying needs and tastes of our customers and their end users. Combined with our Sivoia QS ultra-quiet drives technology, Lutron offers the ultimate in high-end, stylish, reliable shades solutions."
