Atlas re-defines High-Definition HDMI 1.3 Series video-audio cables

Specialist cable manufacturer, Atlas Cables, has confirmed details of its Hi Definition HDMI 1.3 series Cat2 cable that it contends will meet the high data and resolution demands of the HDMI 1.3 format.

The cable has reportedly been designed and refined to achieve the lowest losses in the transmission of high-resolution video signals over long distances. This, says Atlas, results in precise sharp images, accurate colour definition, a deep contrast and the outstanding picture and sound quality synonymous with today's High-Definition recordings and broadcasts.

Atlas has used AWG Silver Plated OFC conductors with Polyethylene dielectrics and hard gold plated connectors to provide a better signal transfer.

The company says the 1.3 seriesCat 2 HDMI interconnect can transfer data at a much higher rateat up to10.2Gbps. It reportedly has the data capacity to support the new Dolby True HD and DTS-HD,Blu-Ray and HD-DVD and xvYCC colour with pictures being transferred at up to and including 24 bits.

In addition, Atlas says its HDMI 1.3 is compatible with all previous HDMI equipment including that made to the current 1.2 specification and will support display modes/resolutions up to and including 1080p.

This Atlas HDMI 1.3 cable will be available in lengths from 1.0 metre, with suggested other lengths available on request.
